Pros

Rosendin has good benefits. ESOP is pretty nice. Some of your coworkers will have your best interest at heart, and same goes to some of the executives.

Cons

The first thing that comes to mind and that is because most of the Anaheim office talks about is the rampant nepotism. The career path of those related or well connected to upper management is well different to the rest. They will believe they have earned it and no one will change their mind. You can be the smartest, most hardworking person and you will most likely get a pat on the back. At this point, they run it as a family business. Leadership refuses to adjust to the times and new technologies and methods. Culture is definitely a big problem. It is not what it used to be.

You'll Reach Your Limit

Pros

ESOP, flexible scheduling, benefits and that's it.

Cons

- NEPOTISM: This is my absolute biggest issue. It's so glaringly and embarrassingly obvious whether you've been there 10 years or 10 months. If you're not a close friend or family of the management, good luck moving up or getting promoted or recognized. The management acts as a 'clique' like they're in the movie Mean Girls and trust me, you certainly cannot sit with them. - Wage Inequalities: There's a sore amount of difference in pay, specifically between individuals doing the same job, and favoritism in who gets a raise and how fast. - Communication: There is a lack of clear communication between leads, the field, and the support modelers. Prepare to have things be your fault despite following instructions given to you by people who are 10 years your senior. Also, prepare for them to apologize for blaming you once they realize they were in the wrong and then just do it all over again next week. - Remote Work?: Despite being a job that is fully sustainable remotely, it's like twisting a knife, trying to qualify for it; even during a worldwide pandemic. - Insufficient Training: My personal experience consisted of being thrown from my initial position, directly into a modeler position despite not having any true experience. I was never properly trained to model, but learned through trial, error and occasional feedback. The most extensive training they provide are the LinkedIn learning videos. Any time an issue with training is brought up, you're redirected there.

Take the good with the bad

Pros

Work life balance is great due to flexible schedules. Benefits are pretty good. The main reason to stay is for the ESOP. I do enjoy the overtime when we have the work load to justify it. Makes up for the poor pay.

Cons

Sadly the environment feels like high school. Management is in their own little click and only care about those who are part of the group. Rosendin allows poor behavior and hostile work environments. You can report issues all you want but they turn their heads and hope it blows over. Don't count on HR to help the situation either. Pretty much it's not what you know or how well your perform, they only care about who you know if you want to get anywhere with this company.
