Pros

-Great coworkers and team members, great bosses and managers, get to test out new release games and flexible hours.

Cons

-Some responsibilities aren't worth the pay, rude customers, never closes on holidays (open 365 days year round), no benefits, difficult customers 80% of the time.

Pros

-Nice and fun coworkers -Receive benefits such as insurance, 401k after promoting from associate

Cons

-Minimum pay with expected maximum effort -Horrible management from corporate - Fluctuate between fast and slow pace environment -Managers come and go -Opens 10am-2am everyday of the year.(Can be a hassle if whoever schedules your hours make you work in the morning at the beginning of the week and then make you close for 2 days in between.)

Pros

You'll learn a lot about how arcades and games run if that's your interest, it's a fast paced environment when it's busy but if it's slow you'll need to have a lot of initiative to keep yourself busy which makes you look good in management's eyes

Cons

No benefits to working here; 30% off one meal per shift and a free drink with no refills. Three free games of bowling a week. You're not allowed to play games that give tickets or prizes (even as an off the clock customer), not allowed to come to the store on the weekends even with friends and family. No discounts really, even for customers. If you're a gamer and interested in fighting games or music games, don't work here. Management can't do anything without corporate approval, even for small things like signs instructing customers how to play certain games (super helpful since a fair amount of games are in Japanese and no one in my area speaks Japanese except maybe 3 people), hard to be recognized and appreciated for hard work unless the managers like you (favoritism), but most of the issue is corporate. Even when management wants to pay you more they can't because they have to clear it through a suit who has never met you and never will.
