Think twice about working for R/M in Santa Clara county

My fellow employees are great, and the pay check clears the bank every other week.
Cons
Management does not care about their employees. They say that we are one big happy family and that they have an open door policy. In reality they don't want to hear from you, and your opinion or thoughts don't matter. You are just a number, and they will try everything in their power to jam you up, and try to and fire you. The HR department is completely unqualified at SCCO ops, she has no clue what is in the CBA, and hands out discipline actions like it is candy. She has no clue to the grievance process and its timelines. CES is out to get you fired. If your a EMT or a Paramedic don't plan on going home after your shift, you are sure to be held over. They only let you go because they can only hold us 2 1/2 hours per the CBA. If they are short on compliance issues they will do everything in their power to hold you over and assure that you get a late call so they can keep as many units on the road for as long as possible.
