Good pay for the fire/EMS profession especially in the area

Cons

Lots of drama, poor management from the middle to upper site management. Treated like you're 100% replaceable and management makes that fact known.

Weak union, poor pay, unorganized management, poor moral, unsafe working conditions due to bottom line and cost cutting leading to poor vehicle maintenance, many disgruntled employees

Management usually leaves you alone and depending on your hours you won't have much interactions. Is great for adrenaline and a sense of purpose.

Cons

Management makes poor choices and does not thoroughly investigate allegations. The pay isn't very good and insurance options are horrible.
