Pros

Relaxed work environment, you’re not micro managed and have the opportunity to work at your own pace, good work/life balance, not heavily involved with developing or managing financials.

Cons

Emphasis on leasing! Even though your title is Property Manager, it is definitely a leasing focused role. Properties are not in great shape and maintenance is lacking. Renovations/ turns are done quickly and sloppily. Property Managers don’t have the discretion to offer courtesy credits or otherwise when there is a bad experience. Leaks, pest issues, plumbing issues, etc and the resident is expected to deal with it or move out. No budget at all for resident events. If you plan something for the community, you will need to pay out of your own pocket.

Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback and for being part of our team. We’re glad to hear you appreciate the work/life balance and the autonomy in your role. We also recognize the concerns you’ve raised regarding maintenance, property conditions, leasing focus, and resources for resident engagement. Your perspective is important, and we are working on ways to strengthen property support, enhance customer service, and ensure our teams have the tools they need to provide residents with the experience they deserve. We appreciate your dedication and the care you show in advocating for both residents and staff.

Pros

- you get a pay check

Cons

- No company culture. - The turn over rate is higher than Amazon or a retail job - No improvement at lower class properties. - Training is not effect. - Leasing consultants are underpaid and often do the job of the assistant property manager and maintenance - Several different platforms are used for leasing/application platforms. Not effective at all
