Pros

Rust-Oleum provides on-going training through Rust-Oleum University. They encourage participation and providing you have time to take a class, they are usually good. They also have great benefits and volunteering is expected.

Cons

Everyone has their job and may only be able to offer assistance to a point. Expectations in my department went far beyond other sales positions.

Pros

Benefits Good co-workers Fair pay Team work No Union Products are made in America Product innovation Uniforms Profit sharing. Overall good place to work and retire. Good training in my department because our manager recognized that there really is no school that teaches paint making. Made life-long friends. As at any place, tensions run high but generally everyone worked together. Incompetent supervisors eventually went away.

Cons

Long hours (12 hour days plus overtime). It was, for so many years, the perfect place to work with 3 shifts and some weekends of OT, but when it went to 12 hours it became hard. 12 hrs in such a harsh chemical environment can affect health and morale.

Pros

Good pay , good insurance, fairly stable work environment

Cons

Poorly managed company at plant level , most employees are treated like a number not a person. 12 hour shifts means lots of overtime usual mandatory. Hard to get hired permanently because they use temps like a throwaway item. Some temps worked for 3 years and never got hired. Not the cleanest or healthiest air in plant.
