Pros

Very good health benefits eligible to full-time teaching assistants.

Cons

The stipend is just enough to cover the living expense in such an expensive area. Heavy workload if you work as TA for big classes.

Pros

The University offers a great number of opportunities, particularly if you are searching for stability. Further, employees are encouraged to avail themselves of resources throughout the University for personal enhancement or edification.

Cons

The support staff can make or break your experience. Management is very tolerant, which, while quite nice in many ways, makes life difficult when it comes to payroll processing.

Pros

The people are generally kind and supportive. You have autonomy and the ability to create class plans. There is some flexibility with scheduling.

Cons

The pay is very low. The work is intensive. Mentoring for new employees is spotty and very dependent upon who reviews your work each semester. No consistent feedback.
