Pros

Flexible hours, relaxed work environment, great in learning both technical and leadership skills, competitive pay with other student jobs

Cons

Variable work means that some days/shifts are quite difficult and others are easy - with student workers, not everyone is very committed to the position

Pros

Lots of hands on problem solving in this department. Compared to the other campuses, we got most of the workorders. Supervisor very good in training new tech and gave responsibility to those with a good head on.

Cons

As it is a work study job, the office was sometimes quiet and nothing to do. Unable to work 12-1

Pros

Started as work study student at minimum wage, was bumped up to $10/hr sophomore year. No benefits and/or bonuses as I swung between part time/full time with classes but I was treated extremely well. Loved my coworkers and supervisor.

Cons

Not too much upward mobility but may have been different had I not been a student.
