      Pros

      Great training and people. Benefits are great - large matching on 401k. Cannot have insurance for spouse, however, if they are offered through their work. Not too big a deal.

      Cons

      Constant re-structuring within. Regions change, new focus groups come and go. There is always a flavor of the month here. Just as you get used to one initiative, another one has been implemented.

      Pros

      Lets put it this way I've worked for Rider for about two years and I've never had a bad day. By far Ryder is the leader in transportation and logistics in the world. Who wouldn't Be proud of that.

      Cons

      No downsides. Im a mechanic and I love it.

      Pros

      Ryder is a Global Company that provides many opportunities for career growth if employees have passion for the job. If employees are mobile (i.e., can relocate-- there are even more opportunities). Career paths are varied-- because of the distinct product lines, and many regional positions that support them. Tenure at this company is impressive-- with many Senior Executives hving built their careers from front-line or Management Trainee positions.

      Cons

      Company is very performance-driven; if you are not of that mindset-- you will not fit in. Some locations can be in remote or industrial areas. Some of the entry-level, front-line positions require shift work, and/or exposure to elements, and safety-sensitive issues.
