Pros

Easy day to day operations. It is easy to get comfortable doing the same job every single day with very little challenges.

Cons

Good ole boy management style. Managers are fearful of change and are really not interested in improving processes to get better lead times. This account has a lot of mindless lazy employees who want to get paid to do minimal work.

Pros

Ryder gave me the skills I needed to go from a technical background to an office background. They pay is decent however once compared to the high stress environment you may feel it is not worth it. If you must take a job here I would recommend staying a temp (no raise when they bring you on full time anyways) and using your new experience to search the market for better opportunities which hopefully would actually have a chance for advancement and promotes better leadership.

Cons

The MMC is a very high stress environment. They tend to send you through minimal training showing you the bare basics of what they want done and you learn as you go with the expectations continuously fluctuating due to their customer's changing needs and little to no notice of said changes. They appreciate good workers however all employees are severely micromanaged and the point system used takes away any chance for job security. They will bring up issues from when you first started and use them against you in your reviews. The management shows up when they want and often push their daily assignments on the overworked CSC. Management also has a huge problem with picking favorites (I know this because I was one) I was identified as one of the most productive workers in the office however I was l let go 3 days after being hired on full time (They start you off as a temp for about a year) due to their point system. Don't even think about getting unemployment from them either. There are jobs with just as much pay with half the stress. don't belittle yourself and limit your potential.

Pros

Ryder is fortune 500 company that is stable. The invest time and money into their employees promoting growth and promotional opportunities. I loved working for this company.

Cons

No Cons, was layed off due to the ryder stocks dropping. The company was forced to downsize. This happens in the private sector
