Pros

You get paid ok wages and the benefits are good. Other than that, I have nothing else positive to say.

Cons

You have to work 50+ hours a week every week and once you have hit 40 hours, you get minimum wage for the overtime. That can dilute a $40K job to really a $35K job for 40 hours. It's hard physical labor. Not what I went to college for. Plus, they really don't care about what you learned in college. It's a "blue collar" job no matter what they say. They ask for educated people and then don't utilize their talents. Advancement is a joke. You could be stuck in Ryder hell for years. Lots of turnover and they don't care. Most people leave this place crying. Front line positions are very understaffed and management is oblivious to the situation. Their answer is "work faster." 6a to 6p is the norm with a 30 minute lunch break. Plus, after all of that, quite often you have to take work home with you and you get no money at all for that time. It's a glorified sweat shop.
