As for pipeline survey companies they held prestige for having permanent positions and generally taking care of its people. Although you did work about twice as hard as for other pipeline companies.

Cons

After a down turn in the market and outside investment, the company has basically come of the rails. Lay offs, lack of direction, and increased pressure on employees make this a challenging workplace.
