Pros

Not watched like a hawk from upper management.

Cons

The flexibility is very limited on working from home. Too much work, not enough staff.

Thanks for sharing your review. We value the dedication of all SCJ people who work hard every day to help uphold the trust and goodwill we’ve earned from our consumers and communities for more than 130 years. Regarding flexibility on working from home, we believe SCJ is stronger as a team when we can work together in-person. While we recognize this may not be the preference of some and appreciate that may be the case, we're committed to maintaining our unique culture by attracting and retaining SCJ people who are aligned with our common values and purpose of working for a better world. Regarding feedback on improvements to individual teams, please know that SCJ leaders are currently analyzing results and communicating plans to local teams and departments from our recent Global Employee Opinion Survey. For discussions on additional assistance with projects and workload, we encourage you to speak directly with your manager and local HR team to ensure you have access to the tools and support you need.

Pros

Pros to working at bay city I once had a lot but every day I walk threw the door i find another reason to hate this place

Cons

Every one wants to quit as of now we have no Hr because they all quit. Employees are retiring and putting in their 2 weeks management wants production but how do you give production when a machine breaks and their is no parts to fix it but explan that to management and they dont understand. They are happy if you jimmy rig things to make them work so they can have a green hour will it ever get fixed probably not for a very long time unless we run out of tape and superglue maybe but we have lots of that so wont happen

Pros

Peers are nice...that's about all I got

Cons

Extremely conservative culture, refuse to change with the times, brands are no longer relevant, management is abysmal at best; the company thinks it's better than anyone else and refuses to embrace outside ideas; strong "not made here" mentality. Far cry from being an entrepreneurial culture. WAY too many layers (3 levels of directors vs 1 level of manager - who, by the way, are not allowed to be people managers??? Come On! Where's the opportunity for growth???)
