Pros

Vision Growth potential - not in IT Industry focus Good Salary location

Cons

It only took 8 months for the current new senior IT leadership (starts with the CIO) to destroy what was years of collaborative team effort on every front, where IT staff worked together to resolve issues, came up with better ideas and process, had valued their teammates, shared information to make informed decisions, had same vision and more... to what is now a politics driven, back stabbing, self-serving individuals and scared for their job instead of team effort. Talented people have either left, demoted or pushed out by the new leadership in IT. This impact has been very evident after 2 of our top directors who were well respected for their knowledge, work ethics and team work both pushed out due to politics. This exact talent drain in IT and changes has impacted our patient care and financial books in many of our facilities.

Pros

The current management team is not permanent.

Cons

It is a shame when management has to filter lies on reviews about a company because they know they are tearing it apart with their lack of management skills and underhanded unprofessionalism. The Carmel office is definitely on its way to closing it's doors just like the Florida RBO. When you put people in positions based off of who they know and can manipulate instead of if they have the knowledge and experience to build teams it is a recipe for a disaster. This office is like being in a slow cooker. People are unhappy except the ones getting placed into leadership positions because of their friends. People that have no experience of building, encouraging, positive reenforcement, on the job experience, or management capabilities have been placed into positions of leadership. The lack of experience shows everdant as team struggle to stay afloat. Matters that have no office or professional place gets focused on while real issues are not handled until upper management gets involved and by then CLT doesn't even have a clue how to handle the issues so they turn to the true dedicated team for answers only to take the answers back to upper management as though they figured out the situations. Given the opportunity the CLT couldn't do a day to day operational task if it was given to them. They could even train anyone one person on the task let alone give direction. Someone at the board might want to wake up before you are filing bankruptcy and shutting the doors for good. Directors request 100% from team members but don't even give 10% of their time listening or caring about day to day operational steps that are failing the same people they request 100% from. People are discouraged, looking for other employment opportunities, and bad mouthing a company they used to believe in.

Has a lot of potential but...

Pros

SCA is an innovative company that seeks to be the best in the industry. It is a company of growth that pushes the teammates to a high standard. Running lean and pushing continuous improvement enables teammates a larger scope of responsibility that they wouldn't receive at a more structured organization. The problem is that teammates who don't want the broad scope of responsibility are forced to accept it regardless.

Cons

SCA runs lean in most departments/lanes, creating a difficult environment for the lanes that are not allowed to grow alongside the company. SCA's leadership has blind spots and this creates unfortunate consequences to those within their blind spot. As a company, they have become so hyper-focused on their upper-level talent, they have lost sight of their talent at the staff level. This has created an environment of "us" vs "them" and high turn-over. Unless your one of the lucky lanes - don't expect work-life balance at this company.
