Pros

- SCA is a great work environment. Everybody truly cares about how each teammate is doing both personally and professionally. - SCA is continuing to become a major player in the ASC market and it's very exciting working for a company that is on its way to new and exciting opportunities. - There is an emphasis on maintaining a good work-life balance. Management recommends taking time to "recharge". - As the company grows there are more opportunities to expand my visibility within the organization by taking part in different projects. - Compensation is very fair.

Cons

- Working remotely you are tied to the limitations of technology. If the VPN or network has issues, it can disrupt your progress during the day.

Pros

- Growing company with plenty of opportunity for operational leaders in the field and strategy positions at the corporate level - Intensive small scale (facility) M&A pace makes it necessary to for the company to constantly be evolving across markets - It's hard to find a jerk at SCA. I know there is always an exception every where you go, I just haven't found one yet. - Overall I think we do a good job hiring. It can be a consensus driven process so be patient if you're on the hiring end. - Gratifying feeling to provide support to the members our facility teams, our dedicated administrators, nurses and surgical techs as they provide incredible service to patients - Culturally, SCA really does try to be part of the solution when it comes to improving quality, lowering costs, maintaining physician independence and increasing transparency

Cons

- Technology limitations across the enterprise. On the corporate side there are lots of folks with consulting, PE or banking backgrounds so the demand for thoughtful analysis is high, but it's hard to rationalize an ROI for major expenditures on technology. We still crank those products out, but it's often done by brute force. - I've heard differing opinions on compensation/benefits. My take is that SCA provides market comp for a healthcare services company. It's not consulting, banking or high level sales. I think any complaints at the corporate level can be appropriately gauged by the lack of turnover that we have.
