There are a lot of challenges for career changers. One must spend lots of money on advanced degrees that slightly increase your salary and will take decades to pay back. Pay increases are not annual; and so, they don't keep up with inflation. Lesson planning takes an incredible amount of time. There is little work/life balance. Unless you come in an hour early and leave an hour late, you will not get much time to do your planning during your workday. Your lunch breaks are spent watching students. Your planning most of the time is spent in meetings or training. There is a lot of people that are workplace bullies. Lastly, you have to spend a good bit of your money buying the necessary supplies for your classroom.

Nepotism, cliques permeate the organization, lack of understanding, high teacher turn over, extremely stressful working environment, unrealistic expectations, use people as pawns then dispose of them
