      Pros

      Great salaries and benefits, including work/life balance. The work itself (protecting investors) is spiritually rewarding . Union protections for bargaining unit staff, typically SK-14 and lower. Great stepping stone if you want to stay for 3-years and move on to private industry where there are many opportunities, especially for attorneys.

      Cons

      Although they claim to be collaborative, it is more of a top-down organization with Assistant Director being the sweet spot. Those with law degrees are highly favored for promotions in the Division of Examinations. Long drawn out interview process for new hires.
