SFM strives for a better experience for all in the WC arena.
Pros
Emphasis on life/ work balance. Provides flexible schedules. Encourages and offers employees opportunities for professional development. Sincere desire to make injured workers have the best experience possible. Emphasizes open communication, team environment. Approachable leadership and executives. Relatively flat organization, not title heavy. Fun activities like yoga, disc golf, pickleball, other outings for employees to participate in. Provides and encourages charitable giving and philanthropic pursuits. Recent change to dress code, non customer facing now casual dress, though there is an expectation to dress appropriately according to your role. Culture is great! Participation in project work and committees creates leadership opportunities. Recognizes employees for service excellence.
Cons
For twin cities, most employees go into the office. Working from home positions not encouraged if you’re MN based. Employees tend to stay a long time and the management positions are not stacked, I don’t view this as a con, but some may view advancement opportunities as limited.
