      Working for Schlumberger had a big impact on my adult life and being a part of SLB is a big part of who I am. Schlumberger's stenghts are: 1. It's Diversity 2. It's borderless career management philosophy, where you can move between functions and explore different aspects of the business to decide what suits you best and help you be more rounded 3. Meritocracy

      As a service provider in the O&G industry, we (SLB employees) have to deal with the constant dodging of the boom and bust pendulum. Our industry is highly cyclical and we have witnessed many layoffs during economical downturns in the industry and in the global economy. With that said, many people end up coming back to SLB after they separate for one reason or another. I think SLB is a very decent company and they have people in their core values (People, Technology, and Profit).

      Schlumberger is a good company overall but it all depends on the team where you are to succeed. A lot of training. HSE

      Cons

      The ONE SURFACE division was phased out due to bad management. A lot of favoritism from managers. Vey political. A lot of bureaucracy!
