Pros

If you have a dream of working in a well established company then don't simply sit at home and prepare. Instead join SLK, you get a lot of free time since there are no good projects and most of the time you don't have any work. So you can learn all the latest technologies easily by yourself and at the same time earning some money, even though compared to other companies it's just peanuts.

Cons

A whole lot. I could even write a novel on this. First, at a time where we are fighting this pandemic, the management of this team has decided that employees will have to travel back to Banglore and go to office to work. This decision is absolutely unwelcomed because they don't realize what they are forcing their employees into. It's like they want the employees to get infected with this virus and happen something to them so that they don't need to pay them henceforth. Low level mentality of the management as well as project managers need to change.

Pros

If you are money minded, you will learn a lot about how important the money is. Everyone in senior management team to freshers and even office boys talk about how to make money n cut down costs. Senior management says all technical team members are commodities. Throw money n hire people for the job n kick them out when you get full benefit out of them. SLK Management team is ready to do anything if they are offered money. All CBU heads are nothing but business men who make money by having their team do anything n everything customer wants for big money. If you want to join this company, join it to make money n find a right job for money.

Cons

No cons if you are money minded. If you are thinking of learning technology n contribute to IT world forget it. COO always shows one ambitious pyramid which says Simplify, Transform and Disrupt. Yes, all these are only in terms of money. They have transformed themselves by firing talented people and hiring only freshers. They tried disrupting by having one consultant from manufacturing consultant to evaluate but failed. This disruption project was to get technical people like labors in big trucks every morning, pay them daily wage and send them home in the evening. Every morning, they would get new people to work on jobs. whoever takes less hourly pay would be entertained. They tried to follow the house construction model but didn't succeed. But they are constantly trying. If you want to be one of those labors, go for this job. COO talks about strategies where he himself doesn't know what technologies are leading in the industry. CTO is talented but is stuck in the middle of jokers. CBU heads are nothing but slaves to COO and they keep working on margins. They keep firing talented people when raise was demanded. They even have an area in office to keep all employees who would be sent home within a month. Never work in Fixed bid projects. Fixed bid projects would always mean working 20+ hours a day and more layoffs. With fixed bid projects, customer doesn't care who is working n hence SLK tries to make the maximum of it.

Pros

I got job in this industry as a fresher for which I am thankful to SLK. They company was good, but now the new micromanagement policy is very much irritating.

Cons

Stupid management, they think of employees as slaves.. Does irritating micromanagement, All are behind ODC hours which is utter nonsense, being in ODC for 8 hours doesn't means that the employee is doing productive work. They have build thier office in a deserted area where there are no restaurants and still closes cafeteria after 10 ;won't even give a packet of biscuit after 10. What the hell is that! Managers over here are the worst. They will promotions only to people who holds thier bucket. Some fools are staying in the company for 10-12 years and treats others as slaves. Looks like thier grand kids also will work in the same company . Once we put down paper we become the enemy of the manager and they starts to blame us for everything. No trainings No latest technologies Same salary and position for freshers and experience. Then what is the value of our experience here!
