Pros

Small/Midsize firm with drive to becoming a competitor to the larger firm. Mismanaged and Disorganized from the very top. First time job seekers heaven benefiting from 60-70 percent performing the job as described when you applied. The rest will be doing other's duties or well....you just got a different job. It will help you find yourself and where you really want to go with your life. For experience individuals, get ready for prime time nonsense and mayhem. After your initial burn-in period has passed, you will start to question why you ever took this job and how you should have taken another offer somewhere else, or just been more patient about another prospect. The interviews are full of sunshine and glory. Once you start here, you realize quickly that the glory is only about 40%. The rest is well, not nice - Gently put :)

Cons

Small/Midsize firm wanting to go large. CEO's dream of becoming a billion dollar company two years ago is not going to happen ever at this place due to mismanagement all around. To phrase it short, more generals and political mindset with little or no regard for employees future or success. This place with burn your out, use you, throw you all around and then dump you when they find that you are no longer performing to their expectation. Again, this may come after they find no use for you anymore or you resisting being used. Yes, there are few who get fired for no really doing any of their job correctly, but this is only if you are not a management eye candy or a pet. Career opportunities are grossly limited. First, the mid management is not going anywhere, so your growth to move up is none. The only potential I see comes from the firm ability to squeeze people by having them perform two person job. If you do not mind that, then you can built up your resume. If you can handle it, I am sure they can add three person job description into your single job. Again, if you were willing to do it, it allows for resume buildup. You will find people here that work very hard and a lot more that makes you wonder what the rest do. The work would be so much easier if things were managed properly. Unfortunately, there is no structure at all. They tend to hire people who fit the lowest edge of the lower band of the salary scale, overload them, keep them churning along with management saying all the employee want to hear so they do not exit the company. Training? What training. Figure things out yourself. There is no finger guidance here, to each to their own. Professional training....none. They talk about as if they will include it into their next years budget, but at the end...your become the ball in a tennis court with no answers.
