Prepare to have absolutely no life outside of work. I worked in the manufacturing plant in Kansas City for just over 3 years and in that time there were only a month maybe two months a year that we weren’t being forced to work 6 or 7 days a week and 10 hours a day. The assembly shop had literally been working 7 days a week 10 hour days for almost a year straight when I got fired. The upper management kept telling us we were anywhere from a day to a week behind on production goals but would never tell us why/how we somehow got so far behind when just the day before we had been caught up and on schedule. Floor supervisors got bonuses every year based on production numbers but the floor workers who are making the companies paychecks don’t get any sort of bonuses. One year they bought everybody a turkey for Christmas, the next year they gave out cheap knockoff Yeti cups.
