Pros

Fantastic facility in Charlotte HQ. Pay & bonus opportunity makes up for most of the cons. Being a diversified manufacturer, there is never a lack of opportunity to learn new businesses. Good work/life balance for most.

Cons

With the spin of Flow, everyone is still feeling their way around the new organizations. Uncertainty will linger for a while. Developing cliques within some management groups is blocking advancement.

Pros

Culture is great, work/life balance, summer hours, great health insurance (HMO), 401K company match, lots of opportunities to learn more, and management was fair and respectful. The company values technology so you will have all of the resources you need to succeed. Overall, SPX was the best employer I have ever had. There are only a few, minor cons to this company.

Cons

Not many opportunities for advancement, mainly due to the longevity of how long employees have been there. Salary is on the low side (but not bad overall). Lots of structure and processes so it takes awhile to get anything approved.

Pros

Great group of people that is competent and works well in their teams. Limited room to grow in the company for most roles.

Cons

Management & organization does not promote company wide efficiency. Seems to be a lot of hiring from outside the company at the "leadership" and corporate levels, which I feel causes problems.
