Thank you so much for your review. Working here for more than 3 years tells us we are doing things right. As we grow, we add employees to each group, but we remain lean at the corporate office. We use technology as much as we can to streamline work and support our distribution centers. Hiring from within only works when people master their skills and learn new ones. We are glad you are growing with us! I’ve asked some people who have been here from the beginning and they say we are keeping our culture alive at the branches and McKinney by remaining true to our “Make Money and Have Fun!” motto. Sometimes when companies grow like we have, it could get lost. Not us! This weekend we have a family picnic planned to bring our families and our work family together.

Pros

Great opportunity to learn all aspects of how a business works. Awesome people / training program. They really enjoy working hard and playing hard. Good pay and a lot of room for advancement within the company at a young age

Cons

Must be able to relocate. Learning the roofing industry can be tough at first but it doesn't take too long to figure it out

Pros

Excellent opportunities to advance. Pay is competitive with the market. The company invests a lot of time and money developing the future managers of the company. Our mission statement is to, "Make money, have fun, and give back" which radiates throughout the company. Excellent culture. Great programs in place.

Cons

Depending on your market hours can be long. Not that this is necessarily a con, you have to work constantly to make your branch better which in turn helps everybody get money. As long as you love the challenge like I do then long hours is not a con.

Thanks for capturing pros and even making your con a positive! We continue to grow and believe in hiring from within. Some people work in multiple positions within a branch and move up to become a Manager. We also have a Management Trainee program for people outside our industry or directly out of college to learn each role and move up to management. Our employees know that their Branch Manager truly knows their job because they worked that job too. Yes, days can be long for many of us and SRS’ business is not slowing down. Our recruiting efforts focus on hiring “A Players”, as we can work faster and smarter to keep the work day as short has possible. I’m also glad you see how much time and money we devote to training our employees in every aspect of our business. We invest heavily in technology too. Utilize Agility, Descartes, and soon, Workday to help get your work done faster.
