Pros

I happened to get an excellent supervisor. I've received 3 raises in 4 years. I basically work by myself.

Cons

I was never trained, I was thrown into a school. Unless you become a director or lead teacher there aren't really any promotions or a chance at more hours.

Pros

You get to visit schools, be in nice areas, employees are usually friendly, not really deal with a customer service/retail type job. Kids can be cool (although not always the case)

Cons

You're gonna get a cool number to as a wage but then realize you're gonna get close to no hours because no school wants a star program, you're gonna have to do all sorts of stuff you're not even qualified for. You're gonna have to go to meetings really early in the morning and you'll never get a raise. Also, people will call you at the last minute to try and get you to work a spot. Also, the CEO will tell you the same damn story about her self every time you go to one of these meetings.

Pros

You get to work with children from all over the area. You learn a lot about school and education. You get to be up and moving around all the time.

Cons

Very disorganized. You could come in prepared to teach one thing, then be asked to teach something completely different. As a substitute, everything's very last minute, many assignments are scheduled the day of the class. Training, only an hour long, left me largely unprepared for what I would have to deal with on the job. Also, it took them several weeks to coordinate with me to set up the CPR class I needed to get hired. You are given the materials and then expected to handle several rotations of 20 people on your own.
