Large Company with Good Environment
Pros
Good people to work with - hard working and have fun. There are opportunities to learn, grow, advance to management or switch to other departments if desired. STV has a clear vision for overall company growth - continues to acquire smaller companies in various locations - seems to be working out well. The pay is good for a consulting company. I did take a pay cut from my former position with an Oil/Gas operating company, however the better work environment was worth it. Flexibility for overtime if desired, but not forced on people. 8/90 schedule in our office, but not all STV offices have this option.
Cons
Some layoffs happened recently with the recent downturn in oil prices causing reduction in projects to work on. I have some concerns about job security, but am optimistic that management is adjusting their business strategy to prevent future layoffs.
