Pros

You get to work from home.

Cons

If you don’t like to sell or persuade others to buy then don’t apply. You entire call existence in the department is to schedule an appointment and sell wipers always. They are always bringing up scripts to get more wipers sales and nothing more. You would have to manipulate your way into scheduling an appointment for someone who called for just quotes which makes this caller really frustrated.

Pros

The pay was fairly decent, you have the same consistent schedule (in my case, I was Tuesday - Saturday) , health benefits offered, good dental plan, good vision plan. Decent 401k plan.

Cons

You will experience major changes in company management at least every 2 years or so. When I started with Safelite, we were assigned to the ROC ( Regional Operations Center) , my supervisor was great. Easy going, defended her employees, good with answering questions, then I moved to a new department with a new manager. No incoming phone calls, just managing work orders throughout the country. My 2nd manager was great with training and communication. Unfortunately, there were big changes in company management in November 2024. As a result, the ROC was eliminated and all of us were absorbed by the call center. Job coach is not helpful, very much "to the book" , does not take an interest in your growth as an employee. The new VDI, and system log in issues happened daily! To multiple coworkers! We have assigned lunches, and assigned breaks. No down time at all, call after call after call. Very hard to clock out for lunch when you get call after call. Multiple meetings with job coach that were not planned in advance. The meetings were on the spot.
