Pros

Plenty of hours, some nice co-workers, learn a lot about customer service, had a few nice managers, got to learn how price tags at the stores work

Cons

Severe lack of work/life balance, long hours of standing at the register without being allowed to sit, super short breaks when you get them, very mean managers towards the end, outrageous expectations/demands about work hours (wanted me to work weekends when I was almost 2 hours away at college w/o a car)

Pros

The benefits, like a week of paid vacation, 15 minute breaks, and raises every few months. Additionally, my Co-workers and managers were very pleasant to work with. I cherish my time at Safeway because of the wonderful people I got to work with and bonds I built with regular customers.

Cons

This is a very demanding job, expect to work here for about a year and a half to start being paid the right amount for the work you do (I say this as a former cashier, I'm not sure about the pay for other job positions)
