Cons
If your employees are only staying for health insurance, you've got an even bigger problem. Many are unhappy both in the office and in the plant. You are discouraged to communicate unless it is to your supervisor. This becomes an issue if the problem is your supervisor, but you are only allowed to discuss issues with them. People clock in and count down to clock out. Employee satisfaction is not a priority and is extremely conservative (Donald Trump propaganda throughout management offices). There are inappropriate jokes about liberals/democrats on a regular bases by coworkers and management and even if you don't lean that way, it is still unprofessional. SCE does not foster a sense of community or growth within itself. Since it is family-based, typically family members will take leadership roles that they are unfit for and it creates a hostile environment for every party involved.
