Pros

Salem Communications provides competitive compensation and benefits. The organization is very supportive during the first year of hire.

Cons

The aggressive business attitude is a glaring afront to the Christian programming they present. Under the veil of evangelistic programming is a machine dedicated to the extraction of money from radio listeners and naive advertisers. Expect to work long hours and multiple jobs.

If you care about nothing more than giving to the lord, this is the job for you.

Cons

Those interested in stability, promotions and real-world experiences should stay away. Most of the people here only work here because they can't find a job elsewhere.

Pros

A lot of GOOD people with good attitudes. I really did enjoy the people and the position I had there. Very nice office and a good environment. Great restaurant downstairs from the office! :) Very large server room with lots of room for equipment and good cooling.

Cons

Radio industry is very frugal with salaries. Corporate people were a pain to get money out of for necessary purchases. The GM is too nice of a guy to be a solid leader. They really need to show support to their employees and show them they are appreciated, ie... $$$. don't be so frugal with off-air and non-sales people's salaries.
