      Low Pay & Very Few to No Growth Opportunities

      Pros

      A lot of the employees are really nice.

      Cons

      A lot of the upper management are overpaid and get bonuses, while the rest of the employees are underpaid. There are quite a few managers who are very rude to their employees. And there has been a really high turnover rate in the last few years - a combination of terrible management and low pay. They talk about a culture that cares about people you just don't feel it working for them.

      Pros

      Benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k) are all available. It's a web based company so you are able to work remotely and some positions offer travel. Donuts and other treats are offered often from the company or sales.

      Cons

      Compensation is low and you have to ask for a raise. if you do get a raise it is months after you asked for it. Do not receive 3 weeks vacation until your 6th completed year working there.

      Company has excellent Christian programs.

      Cons

      Inexperienced management singles out particular employees and makes their lives miserable. The company does not hire the best qualified person for a job opening. There are intangibles that are unwritten policies that Salem Communications follows to hire and promote friends of present employees and then disregard any intelligent desicion making in the hiring process. I would rate this company as the absolute worst employer in America.
