Pros

Good pay and benefits. A lot of pto and holidays.

Cons

Very sneaky company. Constant rushed layoffs without plan for impact. Politics: people will throw you under a bus to protect themselves. Will dangle a carrot in front of your nose but you’ll never reach it.

Cons

There is nowhere to go I’d you have a problem with management If you have a problem with a manager and tell another manager that manager goes right back to the manager you have a problems with and you get retaliation against you like threatening to fire you gossiping managers

Great Place to Work

Pros

Sallie Mae is a great place to work. Sallie Mae has a comprehensive benefits plan, and the company continues to look for ways to improve upon it. I also enjoy the flexible hybrid in-office schedule that allows me to manage my schedule to best meet mine and the company needs.

Cons

There is not a lot of natural attrition, and this can limit opportunities for career growth.
