      Pros

      Worked with a lot of great people and the company does seem to promote a great deal from within.

      Cons

      Sallie Mae has two time management systems and employees had to clock in & out every time we left their desks. One time management system was for payroll and the other was to measure productivity. Personally, I felt micromanaged and unappreciated. Also, Loan Servicing Dept had a young amateurish female management team that were catty and played favorites. The trainers in particular were unprofessional.

      Pros

      Beautiful, newly renovated building - no expensive spared. Relatively simple job and if you were in the right place at the right time (knew the right people), you could move up/out of the department as well as get promoted. They promote within.

      Cons

      Overly professional. Very stoic and impersonal atmosphere. Despite it being a smaller company, you feel like just another number. Really low company morale...specifically in that department. Very HIGH turn-over rate.
