      Pros

      Without question, SLM has been the best workplace I've had in over a decade. Not only is the company culture warm, inviting, kind, and flexible, but the level of benefits, competitive compensation, and virtual first hybrid schedule is tough to beat. As a young mom, I feel seen, heard, and present both at work AND at home thanks to SLM culture and how I am trusted to do my work and do it well, while maintaining a healthy work life balance. The culture of my department is rare to find, and I feel extremely lucky to have found myself here.

      Cons

      I know some departments are REQUIRED to come into the office (hybrid yes). The issue with this is that there are only a handful of SLM locations, and if you don't live within a commutable distance, you are unable to work here unless you relocate at your own expense. If SLM was more flexible with remote work, it may be better. This does not effect me personally, but I feel that for the rest of the organization.
