      Good company, needs to overcome current challenges

      Pros

      Benefits are very good. Work from Home policy is good. If product launches work out, good chances for company growth.

      Cons

      Some challenges with the re-org and transformation. Employee empowerment could be improved. Until the re-org is completed, there is significant flux.

      Genzyme, does it still retain it's spirit?

      Pros

      Close knit community remains post Sanofi acquisition, still some cool science happening there, located in nice area

      Cons

      If you're looking for a cost of living raise don't work here, I got 5% over 4 years, they layoff parts of Genzyme every year, they won't lay off any legacy Sanofi employees, sometimes caustic and competitive work environment, they don't value loyalty. You are a number and if you've been there a long time and make a decent salary, you're a prime candidate for layoffs.

      Pros

      Can't really think of any.

      Cons

      Well below average compensation. No room for vertical growth. Management does nothing for employee retention or growth. Lots of infighting and throwing others under the bus to get ahead. Quitting was one of the best decisions I ever made.
