Pros

Some very nice, kind people, some very capable people. International culture. There are good areas of the bank and a chance to grow the corp. side but retail mentality is pervasive. If you can discern where the influencers are, you can do well. Understanding Spanish language and culture can be advantageous.

Cons

No real sense of direction or consistency most of the time. New hires are not well supported in many areas, no training, just thrown in the mix and have to figure it out. If you are a quick study, you can do well. Cultural issues between Spanish global bank leadership and old Sovereign Bank folk are distinct. Add a layer of JP Morgan (not all the cream of the crop) and it can get messy trying to navigate. There is epic turnover in some areas.
