Pros

Fairly interesting company, you end up learning a decent amount about trees and plants

Cons

Don't learn anything about business, extremely structured workplace, everybody seems miserable and constantly talks about how much they hate the company

SavATree is a thriving company that continues to grow with the assistance of our experienced and dedicated staff, both organically and through attrition. Each of our 24 locations have their own distinct personality but all share in the same corporate values. We always encourage our employees to challenge themselves and continue to expand their knowledge to further develop their career. Both the recruiting and HR departments are here to help guide and assist our employees through both successes and difficulties, always remember to use the resources that are available to you.

Stay Away

Pros

Some of the people you work with will be nice.

Cons

They make you work 12 consecutive months before you qualify for any kind of time off or benefits. The insurance is an actual joke. Dont waste your money. HR department exists to silence the employee and protect the company. They do NOT care about their employees. They told us that even though our job is 100% doable from home, we cannot work from home during the pandemic because they don't trust us. They followed this up with a company-wide meeting detailing how the arborist assistants had made the company millions of dollars in secondary sales, but they can't afford to allow any of us to work from home. Sexist. Unfortunately, if you aren't a man your opinion is worth less and you'll be labeled "emotional." This is an acquisition company disguised as a tree care company. They monitor everything you do. I don't even have access to change my desktop background on my computer at work. Not to mention, the computers they make you work on are old and slow and outdated, but they won't invest to update. Horrible ethics. Don't work here unless you have to.

Slave a Tree

Pros

The people that worked at my branch were very nice and good people overall.

Cons

Company doesn’t take care of employees, and the quality of applications is below average, and the macho men up high in the company know nothing about tree care. Don’t bother giving two weeks because they will just terminate you on the spot. Sad excuse for a tree and lawn care company.
