Pros

Safety culture is very strong.

Cons

Literally lied to every single employee during their merger. Absolutely trashed employee benefits. Claim to be “locally owned” according the Carbondale chamber of commerce and are most definitely not local owned. Corparate office is in Buffalo New York. I invested near 7 years of a twenty year career here and was let go when I could no longer make a 3 hour drive in 2 hours. This was a daily commute for me and that I did for 6 years while being continually back seated to other employees and lied to constantly. Toxic work environment based on obfuscation and manipulation as opposed to transparency and honesty. It’s a “family” meaning they will give special treatment to blood relatives and treat everybody else as “policy.” Yeah I’m salty but honest too.

We take concerns related to communication, workplace environment, and employee treatment seriously. SavATree operates with defined policies and processes intended to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance across all locations. Decisions related to structure, benefits, and employment are made with a focus on long term sustainability, operational requirements, and alignment with applicable regulations. As our organization has grown, we have worked to balance a strong local presence with the support and resources of a broader company structure. We recognize that change can impact employees in different ways, and we continue to focus on improving clarity, communication, and leadership engagement throughout the organization.

Pros

The branch specifically had some great people but the majority of those came from the previous company or hired by the previous manager that SavA tree bought…

Cons

The company buy up smaller successful companies and guts their star employees and changes the formula that created the success in the first place… then comes in from the upper management and acts like they know how to run a tree company despite having never done so in the past… it’s asinine. Do not work here…. The “health” insurance is is Amazon “one medical” and you basically can’t get ahold of anyone or go anywhere with it… and it’s a whopping 99$ a month for the company to pay for… the pay tier is wonky and near impossible to get a raise for good performance without jumping through a ton of hoops. Their formula for jobs screw sales every time. Nobody stays for very long… especially people who know anything about tree work.

SavATree combines arboricultural expertise with structured operational and business practices to support long term sustainability, safety, and consistent service delivery across all locations. Our leadership team includes individuals with a range of industry, operational, and business experience, which is intentional in supporting both field execution and organizational growth. As we expand through acquisition, we work to integrate teams, processes, and resources in a way that supports employees and maintains service standards. We recognize that these transitions can be experienced differently at the local level and continue to focus on communication, alignment, and support throughout that process. Compensation structures and benefit offerings are reviewed regularly to remain competitive within the markets we serve and to align with regulatory requirements. We appreciate the feedback you have shared and will continue to incorporate employee input into our ongoing efforts to strengthen the overall experience.
