Pros

Multiple opportunities to sell services, from tree, PHC, lawn or deer. Excellent office support in efforts and technological support to be independent on the road with minimal office time needed. Very professional company from top to bottom with safety a big priority. Customer service is a major priority and arborists are supported in that endeavor within reason

Cons

Long term tenure not rewarded compared to other companies of this size within and outwith the industry. No change in car reimbursement in nearly 10 years. Some challenges managing territory development in the long term for the mutual benefit of arborist and company

Pros

I wanted to give my review time to cool down after leaving Savatree so I could give the best outlook. I worked there for about a year and a half, and quit in the fall of 2016, to go back to school, not because I was dissatisfied with the job. Quite frankly, and perhaps it's the people I worked with and/or for, but I felt very comfortable and respected at Savatree. My managers in particular were fair and were very knowledgeable about the industry, I felt I could learn a lot from them, if that was my goal. Employees that work hard and show up on time are treated well, and have plenty of opportunities. You get exactly what you give. They tell you exactly what's expected of you, and if you fulfill that, you will never want for a different job again.

Cons

Make no mistake, this is not an easy job. The day starts early and lasts long. Overtime is not optional, but expected for just about the entire (working) year. The weather is unpredictable, and despite the best efforts of the company, it's impossible to say in any given year how much or how little you may work. More an issue of the industry than the company, but be forewarned nevertheless. Many of my co-workers had complaints about the company, and they're not unfounded, but overall I felt that the company did their best to address the issues when they were brought up.

Pros

Still trying to think of one. Decent benefits a little pricey. I have to write something I need 20 characters to fill this slot.

Cons

Corporate is a joke along with the COO. No inspiration or team spirit. And stay away from HR nothing is confidential. If your coming in as a new hire prepare to figure it out on your own.The turn over rate is ridiculous. If your looking for a crappy paycheck and can keep your head down and mouth shut this is the place.Everyone is out for themselves and there's zero communication.
