They don't call it slavers for nothing. They will try and work you to death/termination. Unless you have a degree and are hired as management there is little opportunity for advancement and raises are of the $.20-$.30 variety, no matter how well you perform. It's a low margin business, trying to sell off donated stuff, so everything at the store level is geared toward keeping overhead down. A $2 t-shirt needs to be handled by 4-6 people before it can be sold and the chance of it selling is probably less than %50, so no maintenance or loss prevention because a competent maintenance guy would probably cost nearly as much as the production manager. The store manager is frequently seen emptying garbage cans because one person called in sick/quit/was fired.
