Pros

They seem genuine with their overall directive of assisting low income families with access to quality second hand items.

Cons

The pay is horrific for what they ask of you. It is piece work, and the demand is ridiculous. You're given the items to sort through as-is, meaning there's a lot of waste and animal fecal matter to deal with.

Pros

Good team of people on the worker level, good discount (50% off clothing)

Cons

- 48 hour rule - if an item hasn't been on the floor for two days, staff members cannot purchase it - Filthy warehouse with mice, cockroaches, lice and silverfish problem and massive amounts of dust inhaled daily - Risks associated with tagging guns - often staff prick their fingers on the needles and do not think to sterilise their wound or the gun... nowhere near enough awareness of the hygiene and health issues associated with this. - notes of racism, sexism and bullying from supervising staff and management (once saw a grown woman reduced to tears in front of a team of staff in the first few days with the company by the store manager for not completely understanding the procedures) - Very high turnover of staff (in my six months, I was the 17th staff member to leave) - Very long days (10 hour shifts)

Pros

Mission based company that does good for the community by providing great prices for customers, good jobs, funding to non-profits, contributes tax dollars, redirects used goods from landfills. When I took the job I wanted a stable company that grew ever year. I did not want a company at risk during the economy downturn. It has met that expectation.

Cons

Small that grew very fast and expected alot from everyone. Growing pains. Took some time to get used to working with used merchandise, and some customers think they can abuse the store and think that the merchandise if free.
