Pros

Scheels is a pretty fun place to work if you're just looking for a job just to have a job. Great environment with most employees.

Cons

Micro-management at it's finest. Stop treating part timers as children and treat us with some respect. Very little room for advancement, basically take advantage of you so that they don't lose you in your department. Very inflexible scheduling, expect to work every weekend, both days. Lighten up on your policies.

Soul-sucking but bearably so

Pros

A clean-cut company. The training the company offers is thorough. It's a good place if you would like to expand your skill set in a retail environment. All employees required to be VERY FRIENDLY to EVERYONE, even if it's superficial. Discount is great (employees get wholesale price)

Cons

The first months of excitement about your new job ends when you realize you'll never advance. Management doesn't care about you. After that, you will constantly worry about being in trouble for something ridiculous. Managers are rarely reviewed, so if you don't like an ASL, say anything and you're done. Very competitive for sales and you have to push the credit card down people's throats. And good luck trying for that raise!

Pros

The fudge and commute itsnt to bad

Cons

The people have awful customer service, rude and disrespectful. There are only two-three people who are nice. Everything is rushed and orders are mixed up. No one listens.
