Pros

I worked at Schellman in 2015 and it was the best place to work. I had an opportunity to work with a great team, amazing pay, profit sharing, and a fun fun annual event. The best though was the type of work that we had an opportunity to be part of. It wasn't boring and nobody micromanages you like they did when I was at a big 4. Also, I enjoyed the diversity of the team.

Cons

The reason I left was the travel, which like any consulting firm it can mean being on the road a lot. But it was only M-Th and now I see there were lots of days I worked remotely. Nothing else is a con.

Pros

- Great flexibility - Everyone is competent, smart and professional - No mirco managing from senior management -Senior management is easy to reach for questions and guidance - No time reporting, utilization goals and sales goals - Great benefits: 3 weeks PTO, 2 weeks end of year shut down (paid, not taken out from PTO), annual company outing, 10% match 401k, 12 weeks of paid maternity leave, Lasik, paid employee medical, quarterly bonus, travel bonus if weekend travel is required - Monday through Thursday travel schedule, work remotely on Fridays The pros might sound too good to be true, but everyone works very hard to be part of Schellman and the company definitely takes care their employees.

Cons

- Manage more than 5-6 projects at a time, in addition to managing personnel, and participate in company internal development/improvement activities, can get overwhelmed at times. - Very fast pace environment. Individual from big 4 or industry will require time to adjust to the pace - The amount of travel can get to you but usually offset by work from home weeks
