An emphasis on strong mentoring and guidance. Performance is recognized and rewarded accordingly. Emphasis on high quality deliverables. Encouraged to be a seller-doer and a soup to nuts design engineer; this keeps work interesting. Feedback is constructive.

Cons

Cons are mostly market driven; Geotechnical engineering is increasingly becoming commoditized, and Dam engineering tends to span a large geography.
