Pros

Iconic; industry leader; great reputation w/ schools, teachers, and parents; family-friendly; ample diversity

Cons

Can be scattered and chaotic; too many cycles of hiring sprees followed by layoffs; can feel like a 100 year old start-up, at times

Pros

Worked there very long time ago, for Literacy Place curriculum. It was inspiring , supportive, best office job I’d ever had then or since. I got laid off after the project concluded, was disappointed never had the opportunity to return. It truly was wonderful. Office was well over 80% women, including bosses, always striving for excellence but no belittlement... I was working for senior editor.

Cons

Got laid off because project ended, and was disappointed to not have opportunity to return.
