Pros

-some of the people can be great -some of the books are fun to work on -focus on diversity

Cons

-Terrible pay, easily the lowest in the publishing industry. I’ve been told this is because the higher ups keep salaries low. -You will be overworked. According to my former boss, the head refused to hire more people, even though our department was severely understaffed and was doing work that would be done by 3 teams in another publishing house. -They don’t care about you. You won’t get a raise and you won’t get a promotion unless they’re in dire straits. For several years, they kept us in a building under construction, with noise and fumes all around. -The culture is toxic. People scream at each other, belittle each other.
