Pros

If you get a good manager work-life balance should not be a problem. Really nice cafeteria and a rooftop.

Cons

Little opportunity for growth, retention of tech talent is not a priority. The working environment is too old school if compared to agencies.

Pros

Commitment to the education and literacy of children is genuine. Nice personalities and overall energy in office. Cafeteria is clean, picturesque and reasonably priced. Plenty of external company sponsored activities to participate in. Senior management is diverse in terms of gender. Has been aggressive in adapting to new technologies.

Cons

Public company but operates like its family owned with too much autocratic thinking. Divisions are very isolated and thus, cross fertilization of ideas are tough to come by as everyone is fighting for turf. Racial diversity was a lot better ten years ago until the layoffs started. Constant restructuring has resulted in the layoff of some great talent. Survivors are heavily engaged in office politics.

Pros

Never a dull moment here. Which means you won't get bored. Diverse group of people. They still have offices and cubes, which I love.

Cons

Unrealistic deadlines, micromanaging to a ridiculous degree, though also there is sometimes no management to be found. A lot of design work is taken through the ringer by non creatives, leaving the best work in the garbage. Also, the company never lets us know when we can leave on holidays or during major weather storms. It's disrespectful of our time, but when there's a blizzard outside maybe think of safety and tell people to stay home.
