Pros

There are no pros of working here.

Cons

If you care about your self-respect or your career, you will not want to work here. Managers are abusive. “Management” clearly doesn’t know the first thing about the product or the user base or even being a leader. HR doesn’t take anything seriously - no matter how egregious the issue and no matter how many company policies a person may be in violation of. It’s expected that they don’t care about individuals, but also don’t care about the company. This place is worse than a dumpster fire and there’s no salvaging this place cause the toxicity is so rampant and everyone turns a blind eye to it. Cutting corners and doing a worse than mediocre job at everything is how this place works. If you’re a customer of ScienceLogic it’s more than worthwhile to look for a different solution. Whatever they say they’re going to do for you is probably never coming your way. It’s honestly only a matter of time before this place goes under.

Pros

Really good people for the most part. Not a lot of politics. A lot of 9-5'ers in the HQ building. Lots of leeway to do what you think is right, within the narrowing guardrails of business opportunities and time pressures. You'll learn a lot and do well if you have older software skills and don't contradict past choices and don't expect to breakout from the core technology with a new product.

Cons

It's run by the CEO, plain and simple. He's engaging but not transparent with anyone and can quickly criticize people behind their back. Don't bring him revolutionary ideas. He's already found all them. He's not a problem-solving manager; he's an "executive". A lot of dead weight, still from the earlier days.

Pros

Strong, capable product. CEO's enthusiasm drives the company. Great work/life balance. Team likes to work hard/play hard. Partially-updated office is nice if you are on one of those floors. Solid alliance with most substantial company in the IT space. Leader in space with regard to Government and Service Provider customers. Sales playbook focus has chance at differentiating product in enterprise space.

Cons

Missed opportunity to leverage hybrid leadership in enterprise space. Ongoing difficulty cracking enterprise market and differentiating product. Exit of strongest leaders at multiple levels in org. No clear liquidity goal on timeline or communicated to staff. Wrong leadership and outdated strategies across most internal orgs. No SaaS. Formerly weak competitors have closed innovation and sales/marketing gap.
