Pros

Convenience to Alpharetta and Cumming

Cons

By far the worst company I have ever worked for... you will dedicate yourself to "the cause" however there is no loyalty from the company. No work life balance. Doesn't have the right leadership in place for a larger company. SG was recently tasked by the new CEO to save $65MM before the end of the year, which was done with open headcount and current employees; however there was no good reasoning to how employees were selected. There are constant waves of layoffs because of the financial instability. Top performers were released while problem children stayed employed... it's very much about who you know or the line of business you fall within. You'll go in hopeful, but end up completely miserable. Benefits are no where near competitive, and they'll low ball on salary hoping to bring you up to market value during merit; however that doesn't happen. It's also a sad environment. If you are someone that takes pride in your work or appearance, then this is not the company for you. Millennials beware... they aren't ready for that type of creative mindset, and there's no work life balance. Do research on the new CEO... he was let go and brought on with SG while being unemployed. He received a huge package from his last employer and then came in and cut everyone's jobs. They will advertise how he was on Undercover Boss; however it was less than impressive. Also, check public records. SG recently cut jobs but also purchased another company. Doesn't seem like the Board is concerned with those doing the work.

Pros

Good place to work for the most part. There are a lot of challenging projects due to the integration which help one grow within the company and get integration experience.

Cons

Company lays off people without looking at the overall long term impact this results. Its all about numbers and saving the company $$. Most of the subject matter experts were laid off and the non experts are left to pick up the pieces, they upper management wonders why our numbers aren't good.

Pros

Great opportunity to grow professionally. Unique dynamic working in lottery.

Cons

Use "temp" labor more like permanent positions so they don't have to pay benefits. Many many problems with systems and support without any accountability. No Quality management within IT, HR, and other support roles within the Alpharetta HQ. For a full year, no merit raises while the CEO was selling much of the free stock options earned (Compensation last year over $4M) Ultimately left job because I was promoted into a job which technically did not exist, even 6 weeks after the job started. They are very fast to take care of themselves but not others.
