Pros

Some limited departments are well cared for. If you're a programmer, might be ok. In a crazy, chaotic and dangerous environment, you might do well even by accident.

Cons

Lacking ethics. No concept of continuous improvement process. Middle management is less concerned with effective business and more concerned that failures not be traceable to them. Advancements are too often based on "juice" and/or nepotism. Executives are busy working stock options and are clueless about how the company operates. Company has no interest in updating its outdated mindset. Talent is oppressed so that management lacking talent can remain secure - It's better not to be TOO capable.

Pros

Well, there are pockets of talent and interesting folks to work with, but by and large this isn't the case.

Cons

The company is barely holding on. Casino business isn't improving and SG's sales aren't either. The business has tremendous (dubious?) amounts of debt. The company can't retain talent, largely due to terrible morale problems, constant M&A/lay-offs ("synergies"), and a lack of reward for performers. The business support organizations (HR/IT/finance) are each totally ineffective due to all of the consolidation/employee attrition and policy merging.

Pros

the work can be challenging due to many regulations of the Business. GAMBLING

Cons

The Network Design & Implementation has a very high turn over. No opportunity for Education or advancement. Some minority guys working in here still have the same title of Junior Engineers since they were hired many years ago. All original Management staff left and now Network Design & Implementation is being managed by other company staff.
